Asami

Asami is an artist who enjoys making Temari balls and drawing realistic portraits. A self-taught craftswoman, Asami has been certified as a "Shihan (師範)," or Master Instructor, by the Japan Temari Association (JTA). Asami held her first workshop at Nikkei Place in 2018, and is always on the lookout for opportunities to share her techniques and joy of crafting with others.

讃岐手毬で有名な香川県出身ながらも 2016年に手まりの存在をアメリカ人から知り衝撃を受ける。その後独学で学び、日本てまりの会師範取得。リアルな犬猫や人物画を描くパステル色鉛筆アーティストとしても活躍中。
